HISTORIES

By its very nature, the village church is usually the oldest building in the area with the possible exception of a local castle or manor house that may have been built around the same time. It is also a place where records of local people have been made and kept, often for a few hundred years.

With this in mind, there are two areas here, one concentrating on the history of the church building and the other looking at sources of information for the family historian. To access each, click on the appropriate button to the left.
